Meet Our breeding Maine Coon Cats

Grey Maine Coon with white sitting nice and tall on a cat tree with a curious look

Leoland Urmala of Warrior Kattz

Our big European Maine Coon cat, now mother, and Queen "Lala" was born appreciating the finer things in life: Classical music, the ballet, renaissance paintings, and a finely customized diet of assorted raw meats served on a specially prepared Maine Coon charcuterie platter.

She arrived in America at 4 months old as a cultured European princess all by herself, so brave and bold. I'm sure she misses the motherland, but it was time for her to grow up. She has now seen the world, assimilated nicely, and proudly learned our Texas ways.

But she will always be a princess at heart and exudes a delicate grace.

Urmala was named after the Riga Jurmala Music Festival held every summer in her original hometown of Lativia. Perhaps that's where she first learned to sing her beautiful Maine Coon songs.

We've nicknamed her "Lala" for the unusual and musical vocalizations she produces with her chatty chirps and trills. Chirping and trilling, trilling and chirping wherever she goes. But, such is the life of a European Maine Coon princess and now Texas Maine Coon Queen.

Sassy and Classy Female Maine Coon Queen of Warrior Kattz

This once Sassy and Classy pageanty princess is all grown up, and she's no ones, little princess, anymore. She's audacious, charismatic, and a natural-born leader!

She still enjoys listening to classic rock and basking in the sun, but she is no longer just thinking of number one. Instead, she teaches the other girls how to take better care of themselves and have lots of fun while looking Oh-So-Pretty.

Her beauty is perfection. It will knock you off your feet.

She'll rock you like a hurricane, and now she's on repeat.

Katrin Style Domino of Warrior Kattz

Style is her middle name. She's always on trend--Domino is the most exciting, kind-spirited, and approachable female Maine Coon cat you could call your best friend.

Everyone falls in love with Katrin-style Domino!

She is a spunky, cheeky monkey and gives off a genuinely cheerful vibe.

This girl is solid, powerful, built to last, and stands proud and confident by design.

This European Maine Coon Queen is the social butterfly of our tribe. Her playful personality will capture your heart, and exotic and alluring beauty will blow your mind!

Black Blood Honey Heart of Warrior Kattz

Black Blood Honey Heart is her fierce Warrior Kattz Maine Coons name, but this female Maine Coon cat isn't fooling anyone with her soft, gentle look and naturally sweet as honey ways.

This precious European Maine Coon Queen is adorably funny, silly, and cute!

You can always catch Honey running around with a toy in her mouth or chirping in delight when she's eating her favorite food.

She loves meeting new people and making new friends. Honey is our cattery sweetheart, and we can't wait to share a little Honey with you!

MakAlina Gorgeous Malvina of Warrior Kattz

Just before my youngest son's birthday in 2021, he told me of a dream about a white Maine Coon cat with steely blue eyes and how he hoped one day we could have one.

And hello, GORGEOUS there she was and born and on his birthday too!

She has these soulful blue eyes, filled with compassion and full of life. The kind of eyes you can get lost in. Whisked off on an adventure to faraway lands with snow and ice, mountains and streams where peace, calm, and untroubled thoughts reign, and kindness is king.

In her eyes, I see clear desert skylines and wide-open spaces, oceans of blue, and some of the most magical things like fairy dust, the innocence of youth, love, and laughter.

But, most of all, Gorgeous Malvina inspires passion and reminds us to follow our dreams.

Family Stars Tomahawk of Warrior Kattz

Tomahawk immediately began to build a big following on FB and IG with his winning personality and rockstar good looks as soon as he arrived in Texas.

Thankfully, his early success hasn't gone to his head!

He knows there's a lot more to life than being "really, really, really, ridiculously good looking." And since earning the title of Sire, he has been focused on producing healthy, well-balanced Maine Coon kittens ever since.

Tomahawk is humble, grounded, and completely satisfied with his title and position. He feels honored to have been selected for Warrior Kattz breeding program and is always ready to do good work, learn, and listen.

Although others have tried, he is the only male Maine Coon to pass all the tests that meet the high standards of our breeding program for Maine Coon males.

He has now sired 28 gorgeous Maine Coon kittens in Florida, California, and all over Texas.

Tomahawk is happy, content, living the dream and looking forward to the day his new buddy joins the family.

That's right we have another male Maine Coon cat entering our breeding program.  Watch for updates on this page. He will be here by June.

Big European Maine Coons

What is the difference between American and European Maine Coons?

Our gorgeous Maine Coon Queens and sires are evenly-tempered, highly social, and family-friendly, like most Maine Coons you will come across. Although most well socialized Maine Coon temperaments will be very similar but, just like people, Maine Coon cats from different parts of the world will have very different looks and features.

These differences are especially noticeable between American and European Maine Coons.

Warrior Kattz Maine Coons come from Champion European bloodlines. Our cats and Maine Coon kittens feature tall, heavily tasseled ears, slightly almond-shaped eyes, high cheekbones, prominent muzzles, large frames, etc., typical of those lines.

Compared to the softer look of the American Maine Coon, we feel the European Maine Coon commands attention, and we prefer the more intensely wild-looking, exotic, and alluring Maine Coon.

Our Maine Coons proudly feature the fierce countenance of the European Maine Coon. So, If this is what you are looking for, you will love our Big European Maine Coon cats.

Our Maine Coon breeding plans

How we select our breeding Maine Coon Cats

Healthy Maine Coon Breeding Cats

Our Maine Coon cats are meticulously screened before entering our breeding program, following a strict vetting process.

We use the Optimal Selection Feline DNA testing to test our breeding Maine Coons cats for genetic health conditions, blood type, traits, and genetic diversity. Upon request, private access to these results will be granted by us and available on the Optimal Selection website.

Warrior Kattz Maine Coons are also tested for FIV/FeLV, worms and parasites, and other infectious and contagious diseases.

Then, we carefully review pedigrees, research health histories, genetic traits, and diversity before pairing and breeding any of our male and female Maine Coon cats and producing Maine Coon kittens.

Warrior Kattz Maine Coons have been specifically chosen for optimal health, temperament, strict conformation standards, and giant expectations of the Maine Coon breed.

Warrior Kattz Maine Coons Health Screening and DNA Results

Optimal Selection genetic testing is the most comprehensive feline DNA testing at this time.

They have developed an easy swab test that screens for feline genetic health conditions, blood type, diversity, and traits like coat color, coat type tail length, and extra toes.

Test results like these help conscientious breeders establish a healthy foundation, predict kitten colors and patterns and develop viable breeding programs.

Tests include results for over 50 genetic health conditions, 29 genetic traits, blood type, and genetic diversity of each tested cat.

I am happy to announce that all of our results are in, and no known genetic health predispositions have been detected in any of our breeding Maine Coon cats.

Maine Coon cat origin

Where do Maine Coons come from?

Did you know that the Maine Coon cat is the official state cat of Maine and that the Maine Coon breed is one of the oldest natural longhaired breeds of domesticated working cats in North America?  Several myths, legends, and lore surrounding the history and origin of the Maine Coon cat, including tall tales about Marie Antoinette, Captain Coon, and cats coming across the ocean on Viking ships to America.

Still, it is more likely these fluffy giants originated from working farm cats native to the Northeastern United States. Over time Maine Coons adapted to withstand the brutal winters of New England by developing solid bodies, heavy coats, long bushy tails, and tufting on their ears and paws. Today Maine Coons do well almost anywhere in the U.S. since they now live mostly indoors in climate-controlled environments.

Because of the harsh climate, only the breed’s strongest remained alive. Over time Maine Coons developed into big beautiful cats with a hardy constitution and, like most warriors, a strong will to overcome adversity, weather the tough times, move forward, and survive. So, whether from far away lands, or on our native shores, their signature Maine Coon look that we all know and love most likely comes from the environment. And their amazing Maine Coon personalities come from being loved.
